Rodolfo Hernandez blames Gustavo Petro for yesterday's failure to hold the last presidential debate 

Through a Facebook transmission, Rodolfo Hernandez blamed Gustavo Petro for the non-conduction of the presidential debate ordered by a court for this Thursday, June 16th, a judicial determination in response to a tutela that requested the candidates to appear before Colombians. Hernandez resorted to legal arguments to say that he had all the will to attend the debate, but it was his opponent who prevented him from doing so.

For Hernandez, the problem came from Gustavo Petro's response, in which he stated that "I do not set conditions for this debate. None. I leave in the hands of the public media system RTVC all the details of the debate" and that they would be held in Bucaramanga. According to the candidate, after that answer "I deduced that (Gustavo Petro) was not willing to strictly comply with what was ordered by the office".

Hernandez ended his communication by saying that it will be the Court of Bogota that will decide which of the two candidacies is the one that disregarded the decision that they had to debate. In this way, the door is closed to what was going to be the first presidential debate ordered by a judicial instance. This is due to the fact that there are only a few days left for the election and even if the contempt incident is initiated, its resolution would be after June 19 and it would no longer make sense to hold the debate.

ORI: I think Rodolfo was scared about this debate because first he added multiple conditions to go to the debate and when Petro accepted without any objection, he just said Petro was who didn't accept to go, Rodolfo is a joke.

JULI: I voted for Rodolfo last time but I figured out he is not a good option to rule our country, he doesn't argue with good arguments and that's the reason why he didn't want to go to any debate.

SALOMON: One more time the actions of Rodolfo Hernández have told by themselves, showing that Gustavo Petro is the best option to rule our country, he's a man with degrees and knowledge to change our society.
